When I tried on this dress at a local boutique, I knew it was the one. I was looking for a simple, elegant look that also felt modern enough so I wasn't costume-y at my wedding! I wanted a low back and a modest front. It was so perfect for me, and if you are looking out for a dress like this at a lower price than retail, here you go!
From the designer: A THEIA signature style, this bateau neckline open back mermaid, flare gown is made for that picture perfect moment. Grandiose in its stature, the simplicity of the stretch crepe which streamlines the figure speaks for itself.
I had a few alterations done: the dress shortened (it comes very long brand new) to accomodate me at 5'8" plus 2.5" heels (that's 5'10.5" in height). I didn't have the train shortened, however. I had the waist taken in and the shoulders tightened a bit. Current measurements are post-alteration. I didn't want this dress to fit me tightly (which is how it is designed to fit) but more of a skimming look. Thus, this dress will easily fit an 8 or 10 still, and could be fully adjusted down to a 6 (my size). The fabric is not super heavy, but feels substantial and lovely on.
