Madam Burcu (@madamburcu_moda_evi) was established in 1998 and is located in Izmir, Turkey. The classic tank style dress is a gorgeous fully beaded body with romantic mesh skirt in a figure flattering mermaid silhouette. It features detailed pearl and crystal beading on the straps, body and transitions to the mesh skirt. The back has a flattering rounded shape to the upper mid back with a concealed zipper. The dress is a true ivory with ivory beading and a ivory mesh on the skirt. The skirt has an easy one button bustle concealed in the skirt added by the tailor. The dress was made to order from the atelier for my petite sizing, hence the beaded body portion listed as 2” shorter. The dress on the model from the designer website photos shows the dress unaltered and instead with the alternative nude underlay.
The dress has been professionally cleaned by the wedding dress preservation company. The only wear to note is at the hem. There is a more notable rip as shown and smaller holes/ slight fraying at the inner most mesh of the skirt which are not noticeable when worn. The skirt is multiple layers and is more sheer at the train so if needed, changes to make this less obvious can be easily done by a seamstress. The skirt will require steaming to perfect the look but it is overall a lightweight and easy dress to move in.
The dress is an exact wedding dress size 4 by measurement and a normal size 0. No alterations to the torso were made and fit to the listed measurements on the receipt (my measurements). The alterations were done to shorten the straps of the dress, sew in the ivory underlay, narrow the mesh of the bust, and sew in slots for removable bust cups (included). The other notable change was the cutting of the hem of the train to a shorter length which worked out perfectly for the outdoor venue. The front is a straight cut to hit at the floor and the back has a modest chapel length circular train.
